Ok dynamic word wrapping does work. :-)

Well mostly.

There is a bug that turns it off in a special case:

Go into the properties and turn on hard word wrapping at say 80 chars.

Exit kate (this is to make sure hard word wrap is turned on from the
beginning).

Start kate and start writing some lines of text, letting the hard word
wrapping do it's thing.

Turn on dynamic word wrap.

Turn off hard word wrap.

Insert some text. This should now continue on the same line forever, ignoring
dynamic word wrapping.

Open a new bug?
