To pick one of the messages that Thiago posted:

"ld: warning: libutil.so.6, needed by /usr/X11R6/lib/libkhtml.so, may conflict 
with libutil.so.7"

libkhtml.so is using version 6 of libutil.so, hence the libutil.so.6, but 
Kopete tries to link against libutil.so.7, which is version 7. Apparently 
there's a newer one on your system that libtool tries to link against 
instead.

Which libutil.so* files do you have and where do they point to (many will be 
symlinks) ?

Maybe that helps Thiago finding the problem... Build system errors are not my 
own specialty so the odds of me being able to help are bad.
