I don't think there is an easy solution.  My plan now is to back up all the
files under ~/.kde/, uninstall all the kde RPMs, then reinstall and hope for the
best.  Apparently redhat has hacked KDE up quite a bit... something I don't like.
libkcm_konq.la doesn't exist, but you should be able to find kcm_konq.la.  I
think it's this file mismatch which is causing the problem.  I had a look at
~/.kde/share/applnk-redhat/System
Settings/Preferences/LookNFeel/kde-desktop.desktop and playing with the
lineX-KDE-Library=konq but to no avail.  I think if I could just change this to
use the right library everything should be okay.. otherwise it's reinstallation
fun time..
