I agree with the above bug reporter that kaboodle needs a volume control.  
 
In my opinion a volume control doesn't make the interface more complicated, but it would improve 
usability. This because after klicking a sound file/movie, one often has to adjust the volume, 
however, the focus is on kaboodle and one has switch focus to the kicker panel in order to adjust 
the volume with kmix and then focus back to kaboodle. An integrated volume control would 
minimize this mousing-around-effort that has to be done several times in a row if one listens to 
audio sources that were recorded at different levels. 
 
I like the simple interface of kaboodle and it's great as a simple all-round simple mediaplayer that 
nicely completes noatun, which focuses more on long play via play lists. However, I think that an 
integrated volume control is not a luxury but makes life easier. 
 
Kaboodel version: 1.6.1 
System: KDE 3.1.1 on Debian unstable
