I agree with the original poster that documents should be displayed centered on the background, 
especially when operating in full-screen mode. My monitor displays at a resolution of 1600x1200 and 
in fullscreen mode (which I prefer for non-distracting document processing), the documents are 
appear very much to the left, however, my eyes are most comfortable when looking at the center of 
the screen. 
 
A centered view is used e.g. by kghostview (or dare I say Windword?) and it is a pleasure to skim 
through (or work on) documents in a full screen centered mode. Would be nice if kword would allow 
for this too!
