------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56678 Summary: Konqueror starts a certain application automatically, but I only want to download a file Product: konqueror Version: 3.1 Platform: SuSE RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: joachim.eibl@gmx.de Version: 3.1 (using KDE KDE 3.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs I tried to download a RPM from Sourceforge. The Sourceforge-Website offers to select a mirror and then Konqueror should ask me where to save the file. Instead Konqueror is very clever and opens the RPM and offers to install it via Yast, but I only want to save it to disk. Saving the link-target is no option there because there is some script in between. I'm not sure if this should be called a bug, because under WinXP the behaviour is equally awful. There the same action opens the Realplayer, which doesn't even understand RPMs. Perhaps you could show a message box that asks what to do, or improve the RPM-plugin, so that it can also save the file to disk.
