The Maximise icon does not change after the first selection either, suggesting that KDE thinks the window is still at its normal size. This happens on both my Linux machines, one built with gcc 2.95, the other using gcc 3.2. Also my Solaris machine at work does the same thing. This did not happen with KDE 3.0.5 or earlier versions.
