this is a libpng issue, not a kde bug. It is discussed in
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?archive=no&bug=150595

with a patch applied to debian (and hopefully most other) distro's libpng2
libraries (afaik it did not apply to libpng3 at all). It was potentially a
security issue, so hopefully everybody's got it cleared up by now...
