Summary: KMail does not include the INBOX on a remote IMAP server
           Product: kmail
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: FreeBSD Ports
        OS/Version: FreeBSD
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail@kde.org
        ReportedBy: brad@brad-x.com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: FreeBSD Ports
Compiler: GCC 2.95.3
OS: FreeBSD

Resubmitting this bug because it's been incorrectly closed. There is no graphical means of \
subscribing to folders to begin with, let alone the Inbox folder. IMAP clients typically assume \
that if INBOX exists on the server it is to be subscribed to be default.

Currently the only condition under which KMail will show the remote INBOX is if it is manually \
entered into .mailboxlist or 'show only subscribed folders' is unchecked.

However the desire to consistently require subscription to INBOX is understandable from certain \
perspectives. I would therefore like to point the reader to bug ID 53769, which is topically \
similar. If a graphical mechanism for subscribing to mailfolders is implemented, please \
consider an option allowing for the subscription to INBOX as well.
