When I opened File manager to browse my file system it must be opened immediately \
(not more then 6 sec on Celeron 800Mhz).  Because it's very frequently used.
I can say same about simple text editors.
Please compare start up speed similar programs in MS Windows.
Even Gnome's gEdit starts faster then KEdit from KDE.
