The cursor blinks far too slow in the editor window. It
briefly flashes the cursor and then hides it for a second or so. When moving using \
the arrow keys it disappears completely.

I have tried 3 versions of quanta-3.0: The one that was included in RedHat-8.0, one \
compiled by myself, and a rpm found on the net.

Using qtconfig didn't make any difference. I tried Kate (which seems to be the \
underlying editor of quanta) and it behaved normally - the cursor was just fine.
