Can you verify that it is indeed an OS issue before marking it as
invalid?

The click transference feature would still be important to have since
many beginning users (esp. those used to other operating
environments) do not know they are supposed to use single click.
Also, should you count on everyone having the patches for this, if it
is an OS bug? I'm not sure if that's realistic.

The behavior I'm suggesting would obviously be able to be toggled and
could, in addition, be disabled on Kicker but not on kdesktop or in
konqueror.

By the way, I am currently shopping around for more stable versions
of Linux (or BSD). Which one do you run for your main desktop system,
if I may ask? I am sick and tired of not being able to recover w/out
rebooting with SuSE.

Let me say also that I do appreciate the work that you've done on
porting the bug system to Bugzilla. I hope someone's paying you for
this :)
