This bug is the same than bug 

#10397 - can't paste the text copied from a message in kmail (Done)

But the bug 10397 was marked as not able to reproduce and was set to kmail instead of klipper.

the problem is that when copying from some applications (for me VMWare) the klipper application does not set the copied text as active. It is marked active in the visual feedback but is not really active.

Behavior : 

1. If we copy from VMWare and paste to kate then the pasted text is not the copied one.

2. If we copy from VMWare, then select the text in Klipper and then paste in kate, all is working correclty.
