Hi David,

This line in particular is interesting:
> 0x08091b2c in KConfigBase::hasGroup ()

It suggests that there may be a problem in your kstarsrc file.  Can you rename 
"~/.kde3/share/config/kstarsrc" and try running it again?  It will 
auto-generate a new rc file.

PS- If this works, it would be helpful if you could send me the diff between 
the two kstrsrc files.  Thanks for your help.
