Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18

For me, noatun only crashes if the file is the _last_ file in the playlist. 
Otherwise, it continues playing the next track in the playlist (even if it 
wasn't playing before the deletion).
