Hi Craig,

I'm using no specific Version of freetype, I'm using the version 
distributed with XFree 4.2.0.  I have to find out which version is 
actually used.  freetype-config states

hardy@atlas:/usr/X11R6/bin > freetype-config --version
8.0.2

I will test the patch you submitted later this day.
