Package: kmail Version: 1.4.1 (using KDE 3.0.1 ) Severity: normal Installed from: Mandrake RPMs Compiler: GCC 3.1 OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Mandrake Cooker I'm afraid this isn't going to be the most helpful of bug reports, but kmail 1.4.1 has a tendency to crash whilst composing long emails (say, 100 lines plus). It crashes completely, and occurs whilst typing. From what I recall, it normally happens if I have been doing some block copy/paste or cuts, and happens whilst I am editing halfway up the email. Unfortunately, I'm normally swearing too much at having lost my email to take note of the backtrace :-) so I can't provide it. It does not seem to matter whether the email that I was editing was new or saved to draft, either causes a crash. Incidentally, it might be useful to have a backup feature so that when kmail crashes, any emails being composed can be retrieved on startup - e.g. by saving composed emails to a backup folder every 30 seconds perhaps.
