From kde-bugs-dist Fri May 31 21:49:27 2002 From: ingmar.koecher () netikus ! net Date: Fri, 31 May 2002 21:49:27 +0000 To: kde-bugs-dist Subject: Bug#43326: font size sometimes big and bold X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kde-bugs-dist&m=102288276500762 Package: khtml Version: 3.0.0-12 (using KDE 3.0.0 -10) Severity: normal Installed from: Red Hat Linux 7.2.93 Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-110) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18 OS/Compiler notes: This is a plain RH 7.3 installation. I recently added a font path for true type fonts via chkfontpath and rebooted the system. I had also temporarily added the -dpi 100 option in the /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers file - and removed it again after fonts looked funny. All my fonts in Look & Feel are set to "Clean", 11 and "regular". The Konqueror appearance is set to "default", size 7 (minimum) and 10 (medium). However some HTML emails and some webpage (like www.google.com) look ugly because the font is too bold and too big. Also some html emails in KMAIL look the same, only some are affected though. You can see a screenshot of that problem on my website: http://www.netikus.net/bugs/khtml_bug.png I can't remember anything else that I might have done, sorry. Generally I have to say that fonts are handled a little strangely through KDE - every now and then I have to change the settings that I had set previously - they just get reset to the defaults. Otherwise I love KDE ;-) Ingmar. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog) (Complete bug history is available at http://bugs.kde.org/db/43/43326.html)
