Package: kmail Version: KDE 3.0.5 CVS/CVSup/Snapshot Severity: wishlist Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified Hi, i have been trying for a couple of days now to implement an new mail notification in system tray applet in kicker. I have come so far as i can get without help I think. I just followed the "Beep on new mail feature" and copied and modified it to my needs, and works fine showing the kmail icon in the system tray when new mail arrives with KSystemTray(). But unlike Beep, the icon has to dissapear again as soon as all unread messages are marked as read and appear everytime a mail is marked unread. I found a signal "numUnreadMsgsChanged(KMFolder*)" but now i need a total unread messages, and i couldent figure it out really. As i understand it, UnreadMsg is cached in kmailrc, but seperate under each folder entry, but no total. If someone could help me figure this one out i could take care of it myself and submit a patch when i finished that you guys could take a look at, if this feature is wanted at all of course. I my self think it is a good thing. The popup is a to provocative, and the beep is to anonymous. Kall me a windows ripoff but thats one feature i like. Thanks for youre attention!
