thanks for your report about the speed problem.

I have been working on speed recently, KWord can edit a 500 pages document the same way as a 3 pages document, reportedly. Some bugs have
been found (in particular when removing the selection, that was awfully slow, and the reformatting when typing too - as you reported.

The word count... has that new "readability score" feature, I suspect that's what's slowing
it down (are you comparing to koffice-1.0 or to koffice-1.1?). I wonder if this calculation
shouldn't be done on demand, with a button....

Yes, please get the current CVS (http://www.kde.org/anoncvs.html) and tell me if any problems still remain, before the next beta ;)
