Hi!

I can't follow your needs.
1.) D'n'D wokrs in KOrganizer shipped with KDE3
2.) In the Attendee-Tab, there _is_ a button "Address Book". It opens a 
dialog to choose attendees from your addressbook.

At least the second one should work perfectly.
