The default Copy & Paste functionality (also in X, I suppose) copies merely by marking text, no Ctrl-C needed. In many professional contexts that is not a very handy functionality - personally I do much language versioning of programs, and replacing a string with another language is just much handier under Windows. The recent BundesTux initiative also highlighted this issue. I suggest that the Windows-compatible behaviour be made a configuration option. Should be easy to code and good for lots of plain users.
