As far as I can tell this bug has not yet been submitted.  I have used Kate off and \
on since I upgraded from KDE 2.0 to 2.2.  For the longest time Kate performed \
perfeftly.  I manually upgraded for KDE 2.2 to KDE 3.0 and updated the Kate package \
as well.  Kate continued to function in an outstanding manner.  Now when I open Kate \
it mysterioulsy crashes.  Between the time when Kate functioned correctly to when it \
started crashing on startup I made no major system upgrades (ie no new kernels, \
libraries etc).  On startup the window renders and comes up on the screen for the \
briefest period of time before being destroyed in the crash.  I have tried \
uninstalling and reinstalling Kate 3.0.0 but still encounter the same error after \
reinstalling.  I can recreate this eror by simply attempting to start Kate.

Attached below is the Backtrace information from the crash which send signal 6 \
SIGARBT.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.  I look forward to being able \
to resume using Kate in the future.
