I tried to start kviewshell from the bash prompt and I got this list of errors. I got the same errors when I started kview. Both applications seemes to be working fine(well, I didn't investigate that deeply).
Note, I haven't mixed with anything; no configuring or changing settings in kcontrol or similar. I was just editing files in kate and running gcc from time to time.

It looks like dcopserver is already running. If you are sure
that it is not already running, remove /root/.DCOPserver_athlon__0
and start dcopserver again.
