Subject: Bug#37712: Dragging text crashes kate

Package: kate
Version: 1.0 (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Vitamin
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Mandrake Linux 8.1 2.96-0.62mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.3-tcphealth
OS/Compiler notes:

If I drag text in a Kate window (mine has C++ code in it), the cursor turns into a \
"+". When I release the mouse to copy the text, kate crashes.

(I wish the "drag" was a move operation instead of a copy. Why? It seems more \
usefull, natural, M$FT compat, etc)
