OS/Compiler notes: 

The kmenu does not retain focus when using keyboard shortcuts like Alt-F1.  For example, if you have a program open and you hit Alt-F1 to open the kmenu and try to navigate through the entries in the kmenu using the arrow keys, focus will go back to the program and you can't navigate the menu anymore.
