Package: kword
Version: Current CVS head as of today (Nov 19th) (using KDE 2.9.0 CVS/CVSup/Snapshot)
Severity: normal
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: SuSE 7.3, latest kernel, CVS Xserver and KDE head

It appears that whoever is developing KWord & co is using a
fixed 75x75 DPI X server setting.

Try starting the X server with

	startx -- -dpi 100

(or to see really confused displays do something like "100x75
DPI" - which is actually a kind of setup that you get with some
of displays that report their true geometry with DDS).

The same problem exists with KPresenter and probably other
KOffice tools.

This /probably/ only affects true-type fonts, other fonts use
pixel-based sizes and are unaffected by the X server DPI
setting.
