Package: KDesktop -> KPanel

I had just upgraded from redhat 7.1 to 7.2 and had reconfigured my kde 
deskop so that the kde panel had tiny icons and the dictionary applet.

I logged out.  When I returned, logged back in, and restarted X, I saw the 
tiny kde panel flash up, and then it was gone (for good).  

I can't seem to find a way to restart the kde panel, nor can I find any 
apparent error in my system.
