If the windows key is _held down_ (or the button bound to popup the menu) (on kicker)
is held down, and there is something underneath where the window pops up that takes a \
long time to redraw

X hangs, and the mouse stops moving, and no keyboard input is accepted (can't even \
switch to a vt).

however, you can still ssh into the machine, and you find that kicker is taking up as \
much cpu as possible.

the only solution I've found to this, is to ssh in, and kill -9 kicker.
