Well, I used KDE 2.1.2 on my RedHat Linux 7.1 OS. Some days ago I read on the KDE.org-website that Benjamin Reed had composed RPM's for KDE 2.2.1 for RedHat 7.0 and 7.1. So I downloaded and installed these RPM's. I upgraded the old RPM's and everything seems to be allright, except for KMail and Konqueror. I can send emails with KMail, but I can not make a connection to the mailservers of the University and Chello. When I try to get mail from these servers KMail responds with: The process for pop3: //mail.chello.nl or //smtp.uci.kun.nl died unexpectedly. I can start Konqueror, but when I want to access Google it says: The process for the http://www.google.com protocol died unexpectedly. It seems that there is a problem when I want to receive information from other networks. Hopefully you have a better idea of what is going on. If you need more information just ask it. Regards, Harry Wagenvoort
