Sad to hear. Please check you have Phonon and the phonon-backend-vlc installed
correctly, as Amarok needs those for playback. From the backtrace I guess you
do not have those installed correctly.
Alternatively, you can also use the phonon-backend-gstreamer, and you would
need the gstreamer plugins for the gstreamer version you use (eg. gstreamer
0.10.x versions and plugins for Phonon backend prior to 4.7.80, gstreamer 1.x
plugins for backend versions starting with 4.7.80).
Since the problem happened on an upgrade in your distribution, please always
keep in mind that this could be either some missing package or a packaging
error causing the problem.

I close this bug as invalid, as we can't do anything with the current
backtrace, sorry.
