Erm, what exactly did you update? Amarok 2.8 hasn't changed, so there is
something else on your system that changed causing this problem.
Sadly you do not give enough details on what you changed nor what you are
currently running.

I strongly suggest you take this to the Fedora forums, as it is likely not an
Amarok bug.
