Actually it does, I just checked. I have a small arrow which is pointing up or down \
depending on the sort method. Furthermore, the sorted column is also shaded a \
different colour, with light alternate row colourings as well.

Hence, I can deduce that the problem is with your style and/or colour scheme and not \
