Subject:    [Zope-Coders] problems with CVS checkin notifications repaired

Those of you that did checkins in the last few hours may have noticed
a lack of corresponding checkin notifications - the system was broken,
and is now back in working order.  People generally may have noticed
problems with the "From:" address on the notices for the past week or
so - that also has been repaired (and in fact, the reparations for the
latter problem precipitated the former one).

For those interested in the details, the From addresses are determined
from user's zope.org accounts, via an LDAP connection to the user
database.  (Since the zope.org upgrade, that connection is now to the
authoritative db rather.  Previously it was to an infrequently derived
copy, which was quite a nuisance.)  During some recent system shifts
the python version was upgraded and the python_ldap module was not
included in the new version.  Then, when it was included, it was a
newer version than the CVS provisions had been using, so that had to
be rectified as well.

All better now - and i think i have a handle on how to reduce the
version-management pain of our CVS provisions, so hope to settle that
in the next couple of days, further reducing change of mishap.  (And
maybe we'll even get some time, soon, for gradual subversion
incorporation, though i don't see a distinct window of opportunity for
that at the moment...)
