With the current zlib CMakeLists.txt, ld version scripts are used for 
all systems except for MacOS X.  The attached patch adds a functional 
feature test for version script support in the linker, and uses this as 
the basis for using a version script or not.  This means zlib will link 
on systems without version script support.  Note this same logic is also 
used by libpng and libtiff, so is already tested.
