Hi,
1) the two hosts are able to ping each other.
2) they can not telnet each other to the bgp port (179?)
3) This is what's in the log files for them.
2003/02/26 17:25:49 BGP: 128.2.76.251 [Event] Connect start to
128.2.76.251 fd 11
2003/02/26 17:25:49 BGP: 128.2.76.251 [Event] Connect failed (Operation
now in progress)

4) i think if the ebgp-multihop line by itself defaults to at most 255,
so that should not be a problem. ( i can tell this by the "show ip bgp
neighbor" command)

Anyone has any ideas why i am not able to connect those two hosts? my
options are exhausting...

Thanks.

jack
