I bought the instant power pack late last summer, and I think you should be concerned. I never use the power cartridges, I just bought it for a cheap usp and wall adapter. When I plug it into the wall the lite on the cord (not on the plug) starts green, and after a while turns red. I think you got a bad one.

Hi all!
I purchased from instant-power (www.instant-power.com) a complete set
for the Zaurus: USB charger, Zn cell, car adapter and wall adapter. This
useful device *seems* to be working nicely, though I noticed small
differences in behavior from the standard Sharp charger that refrained
me from using it, lest I may damage my Zaurus. (BTW, it works just
perfectly with an iPaq).
Here is what I observed. The charger is composed from 2 parts: the cord
itslef (which you purchased according to what PDA/device you have) and
the adapter itself (USB, car, etc...). The LED on the cord is supposed
to turn off once the device is fully charged. But in the Z case, it
seems that the light never goes off... (as opposed to charging an iPaq,
where the LED actually turns off).
So here is (at last!) my question: Has anyone purchased a device from
this site (which is/was actually referenced on the Sharp website). If
yes, do you experience the same "problem".
>From what I know, this may have to do with the fact that the Zaurus is
supposed to keep drawing power once fully charged... Can someone confirm
this?
Thx in advance,
Nicolas
