Or 400.  Only the low end model has 333.

Doing what?  The benefit of faster memory depends a great deal on what 
program is used to evaluate it.  Some programs need lots of memory 
bandwidth, others don't.

In the past, Apple has never allowed for the use of memory slower than 
the memory which shipped with the computer.  I doubt they will now.
