I haven't seen any posts lately regarding this issue, and I searched back
through April's posts as well...
What I'm seeing is this. I switch to runlevel 1 using "init 1" command.
Then switch back to runlevel 3 using "init 3" command. The problem is that
even though during the init process to runlevel 3 I see a green OK next
to "bringing up eth0" the network doesn't startup properly. After in
runlevel 3, I have to run "service network restart" to get the network up
again. I also tried adding this command to /etc/rc.local (network get
started twice), but this doesn't effectively restart the network either
after switching from runlevel 1.
I was using a custom kernel, so switched back to the kernel (2.4.20-8d) that
shipped with YDL 3.0 with the same results.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Any clues to its cause?
TIA
Mike Kimmick
