When my input file is big (maybe the problem is in the size of the output file in the \
first pass - I send it to /dev/null - and indexes in xvid xvid-twopass.stats file?) \
the bitrate control doesn't work.

command:
mencoder $1 -vf pp=lb,crop=696:552:16:8 -ovc xvid -xvidencopts bitrate=950:pass=2 \
-oac copy -o $2

give me a file similar in size to my 6MBit/s mpeg.

Small files (below 2GB?) are ok, but my have almost 4GB.
In the 1-pass coding everything is ok!!!
