No, it doesn't. Even if it did, "-allowmdef" won't help you anyway
because it works at the Schema component level and not at the generated
Java class level. Commenting on both of your posts, what you want is to
treat two different anonymous types as being the same; it's not obvious
that this is a good idea often enough that XMLBeans has support for it.
However, see my previous post on the possible use of extension
interfaces to "simulate" this by having both types implement a common
interface.
