The code is now in CVS, give it a try.

I would rather use selectChildren.  It is shorter and feels similar to
selectPath (which it is a convenience for) And XmlCursor has:

    toFirstChild

and similar methods.  Children in this context are assumed to be
elements.

so selectChildren would be elements.  i think we have talked about this
before in the XmlCursor API but why not selectChildElements?
