Though not an expert in this app either, I'll give it
a try. Cocoon is a Java Servlet which can process XML
files with XSL files (which can transform or change
them (for instance, only display the author, book name
and price of non fiction books from an xml file of
books) and assign display characteristics (book name
will use this font, that size, this color, etc.)). It
can also be extended with processors, which allow you
to make up your own mark up language, like your own
flavor of Cold Fusion or something. One processor
allows you to put SQL in an XML document saving you
from having to write a Servlet or something to handle
it.

Hope this helped.

Josh
