I am trying to get 5.1 sound to work.

As test I am using "Phantom of the Opera".
The menu works fine (the menu is only 2.0) but the movie is 5.1
So the moment the movie should start, then this error message comes up.

How do I debug this situation?

Alsa does work:
speaker-test -Dplug:surround51 -c6
works fine.

Karsten
