Hi Diego

Honestly, I don't know. The version (not clear where this comes from,  
from the installed pkg-config maybe?) I used did not pass the flags on.
In any case the treatment of pkg-config flags in configure.ac is  
inconsistent right now - some do, some don't. I guess we could just  
rely on this feature but then,
all AC_SUBST(PKGNAME_..) marcros should be removed and at the same  
time the pkg-config versions should be checked with an abort if not  
met. What do you think?

So far, I did run autogen.sh on a mac, but configure was run on msys  
in windows, and there isn't even a pkg-config. xine-lib did not  
complain - loud enough.
