Hi.
Friends of mine (and me) work on a karaoke player wich is capable of
dispay full colored subtitle, image and other stuff.
We already did it with mplayer but it's ugly and can't be integrated
in a good gui, color in file are in RBGA, they are converted in yuv
and reconverted in RGBA.
So we need to use another multimedia player or api for lot of reasons.
I suggest xine-lib, because is only a mutlimedia api and the plugin
architecture is good to stay up2date with the xine-lib code, and the
unscaled osd seem a good things that solve a performance prob we have.
But after look at the source code, It's seen that xine-lib work with a
color palette for osd and overlay, and we need a full RGBA set of
color, and a full RGBA color palette it's too big for memory. :)
So if we miss something can anyone can tell what ?
Thanks
