Hello,
It would appear that the mappings for alt keys changed somewhat after XFree86 
4.3. The right alt key is thus not treated as Mod4 modifier, which makes 
sense for international keyboards, which need it for additional symbols. 
However the plain US/ASCII (pc/us) doesn't have such symbols, therefore I 
would like to ask if it would make sense to include something like this:

modifier_map Mod1   { <RALT> };

in xkb_symbols "basic" section in pc/us. This would make right alt key behave 
same as left one on US/ASCII layouts, which would enable switching focus with 
R_Alt+Tab combination:

(although that mail relates to xorg, the issue is the same with XFree86 4.4), 
or is there a reason for alt keys behaving differently on US/ASCII layout 
also?
