Yuck. But if you send me the complete list of non-standard encoding
names in Solaris, supporting them in XFree86 is a simple job of adding
a few ALIAS lines to our encoding files. (Actually, you could prepare
a patch yourself, just have a look in xc/fonts/encodings and add a
bunch of ALIAS lines at random places.)
IM> xfd -fn -Hanyi-Ming-Medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-m-0-big5-1
Is that the same as big5-0, or does it set the high bit of the second
byte? Do you need it supported? (Yay! ISO 2022 again!)
