Ajay,
Xalan should be able to work with any conforming JAXP parser. There's n=
o
reason why you can't use Xerces 2.9.1 with Xalan 2.7.1. I'm sure many
people already have environments with this combination today as these a=
re
the most recent Xerces and Xalan releases and have been available for q=
uite
awhile. Regarding future Xalan releases you should ask on the Xalan mai=
ling
list.
