You have done the right thing abandoning the nextElement API, as it has been declared \
deprecated (it's not thread safe, as in the case the list of attributes comes from a \
shared grammar, its state would be shared and manipulated by multiple threads) So, \
what you are seeing could be the expected result, or a bug: could you attach a \
testcase to reproduce the problem?
